When I read the Henry Jenkins text, I immediately thought of those Star Wars conventions hundreds of people gather to imitate their favorite characters from the movies. This is a relatively new age medium where the viewers can become active participants. This is Jenkins concept of fan fiction. Studios nowadays are looking for entertainment to produce revenue through every outlet of the modern day theme park. For example, Disney takes the characters from their movies and sells dolls, action figures, clothing, accessories, and they are all trying to build the fan’s enthusiasm about a film. Another great example is how they have created Harry Potter land which is a postmodern representation of fan fiction, because people can come to a theme park to feel like they are inside the movie.
