Question: Why does this go back to De Saussure? How does this go back to langue and parole?

Langue is language and parole is speech. There are two things much more than language and speech. A sign is a basic usage of language. For example, the word table is a sign for the object the table itself. Without the word table the table itself would not have meaning. I feel the reason this connects with the quote from Macherey because i think meaning comes from language that is not said just as a sign comes with meaning. Then it connects to media in the fact without language and meaning there would be no understanding of media in general. In a way everything connects. Langue and parole are needed in order to understand media language.
